Donald Trump, former reality tv show star and newly elected president got himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during the time of his campaign. Allegedly, due to the multiple controversies which follow Trump, there have been many acts of vandalism on his star.

On Thursday, Oct. 27, The Los Angeles Police Department arrested James Lambert Otis who, “said in an interview with CNN on the Walk of Fame that he was vandalizing the star to help the 11 women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, and other victims who he said could come forward in the future.”

The New York Times reported that Otis was “dressed as a construction worker [and]  took a sledgehammer and a pickaxe to Donald J. Trumps star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame early Wednesday morning,” on Oct 26.

Otis was, “pulled over and arrested on a charge of felony vandalism while en route to the Walk of Fame, where he was planning to explain his actions,” the New York Times disclosed.

This attack came personally as Otis told CNN, “”I had four or five family members sexually assaulted, and I’m terribly upset that we have a presidential nominee who’s become sort of a poster child of sexual violence.”

According to his interview with CNN, the acts on the star did not simply end at shattering with a sledge hammer.  Otis “plans to sell parts of Trump’s star and donate the proceeds ‘to the women who have been sexually assaulted by Mr. Trump,” planning to earn an estimate of, “over $1 million for this star, to be distributed to these women and many others that will be going forward.”

The New York Times disclosed, “that he was ‘proud’ of his actions, which he cast as ‘civil disobedience.’”

Otis is not the only vandil of Trump’s star, in one instance CBS Los Angeles reported, “someone has erected a concrete border around Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the same day the Republican Party officially nominated him as its presidential candidate.”

This wall was fully equipped with, “Keep out” signs and topped with razor wire.”

However, since James Lambert Otis was apprehended, no further acts of vandalism have been brought upon Donald Trump’s star.
