“Yaaa naaaasty” is coming back to the big screen near you. Yes, you heard right. The early 2000s sitcom “That’s So Raven” is coming back, this time as a spin-off of the lives of the cast.
Future executive producer, and past “That’s So Raven” star, Raven Symone announced the spin-off on Thursday Oct. 27, 2016, on her talk show, The View.
“We’re doing a That’s So Raven II – with no real title. There’s no title yet. I’m very excited.”
During the talk show, The View, Symone also announced that the show will be based on Raven as a divorced mother of a pre-teen son “Booker” and a daughter “Nia”, who has inherited her vision powers.
The children of the show are currently being casted, according to Teen Vogue.
Symone will be departing her co-hosting role on The View in December in order to develop the series full-time.
Recently Symone returned to the Disney Channel studios and they kindly received her with a cake that had the signature Mickey Mouse head and the “That’s So Raven” logo.
The original “That’s So Raven” television series ran from 2003 to 2007. It was based on the life of Raven Baxter, who had the power of seeing the future, which gets her into lots of trouble, along with her two friends Chelsea (Anneliese Van der Pol), and Eddie (Orlando Brown).
While it is not certain that the show will bring back past cast members, fans are hoping they will return, according to Teen Vogue.
The new series is set to air in early 2017.
