Chicago Shooting Caught on a Facebook Live Stream

Two people, including a 2-year-old by were killed and a pregnant woman was wounded in a shooting that was captured on a Facebook live stream as they were driving through a Chicago neighborhood.

 

“I got a bullet in my stomach…they shot him, oh my god.” the pregnant woman screams while running away from the car towards her home. The 2-year-old boy was left in the car.

 

The footage goes dark after the woman is inside of her home, where she is heard pleading her mother for help.

 

According to the New York Post, the injured woman was refusing to go to the hospital because she might be taken to jail for unknown reasons.

 

A few minutes prior to the attack the woman is seen chewing gum, and smiling while singing into her cellphone in the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was driven by her 26-year-old  boyfriend.

 

Chief of police, Eddie Johnson, Told the New York Post that “paramedics were able to revive the boy at the scene, but he later died at Stroger Hospital, along with the 26-year-old man, who detectives believe was the intended target”.

 

The woman and her child were both listed in fair condition.Relatives told the New York Post that she was four months pregnant and is expected to survive.

 

According to the Chicago Tribune, the woman told the police that they were blocked in before the man opened fire after getting out of the car.

 

Lavontay White was the shooting to involve a child that Tuesday from gun violence in Chicago. Takiya Homles also died from gunshot wounds.

 

12-year-old Kanari Gentry Bowers also being seriously injured that Tuesday due to a different shooting, is currently on life support in hospital.

 

Takiya Holmes, who was involved in a different shooting, had also died that Tuesday from gunshot wounds sustained on the previous Saturday.
