The Fate of the Furious opens a new chapter in the Fast and Furious franchise, accentuated by the amount of chemistry in the cast, and jaw dropping action that is expected. The thriller was released April 14th.
According to Box Office Mojo it has an estimated domestic total of $163,578,315 in ticket sales in the first two weekends.
The film welcomes Oscar-winning actress charlize Theron who plays Cipher, the latest villain who torments Dominic Toretto (Dom) played by Vin Diesel.
The Fate of the Furious starts off showing Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) on their honeymoon in Havana, Cuba, and the rest of the team(of hitmen) living their lives at home.
The team soon faces an unexpected turn of events when a mysterious woman Cipher (Charlize Theron) forces Dom to betray his team by working against them. Cipher operates out of a jet and has an endless supply of henchmen, and has plans of world domination.
Now the rest of the team must unite and fight to reunite with the man who made them a family and stop Cipher from unleashing chaos.
The search for Dom takes them takes them to New York City and Russia.
The movie draws elements from every level of the action-cinema-hierarchy. The action isn’t just “big”, it’s unexpected and entertaining to watch.
The suspense causes viewers palms to sweat and leaves them wanting more.
